Jonathan started this business from the ground, up. He has an entrepreneurial spirit, and believes that quality and character are key to doing good business. Jonathan never stops learning, and works constantly to help our clients improve the value of their homes.
Office Manager
Sandra Oostwaard was born in 1972 and raised in a small village in the Netherlands. With over 32 years of experience as a secretary and office manager, she has worked for both large corporations and smaller businesses, building a reputation for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and dedication to supporting team success. In 2019, Sandra met her husband through an online game — a modern love story that led her to visit the United States for the first time in March 2020. After several years of long-distance love and meaningful visits, the two were married in 2023. She now lives in the U.S. with her husband and their two beloved Cane Corsos. Sandra brings her European work ethic and passion for efficiency into every aspect of life and work. Whether managing an office or creating calm out of chaos, she thrives on helping others succeed. In March 2024, Sandra joined We Restore Decks, where she found the perfect fit. Her role blends her strengths in coordination, communication, and operations with a supportive and dynamic team environment. She is proud to be part of a company that values quality, integrity, and customer care — values she lives by every day.
Lead Estimator
Morgan started building deer stands and treehouses at age twelve. He has built off-grid straw-bale homes in northern New Mexico, pole barns, large underground root-cellars and a wide variety of complicated and unusual structures. He is detail oriented and works hard to save the infrastructures of old decks. Morgan has a focus on meeting Client needs while making older decks as safe and enjoyable as possible.

Starting off as carpentry major in vocational High school, Jonathan has gathered an array of experience throughout a 20 year span, all dealing within the home construction and maintenance sector in the Annapolis Maryland and surrounding areas. From framing new construction homes, to managing projects for two of the largest home remodelers in the area, Jonathan has had not only the physical, hands on, experience but he's also had the opportunity to work directly with thousands of homeowners; understanding their wants and needs.
In addition to this, Jonathan's passion and knowledge of wood is an integral part of the value he brings to your project. He thoroughly plans for what needs to be done to revitalize, beautify and preserve your wood for many years… at very competitive prices.

We're an Annapolis based family-owned small business, working to help people and change the service industry one deck at a time. We specialize solely in deck work, with top-of-the-line tools and equipment, and an excellent team with unparalleled experience.

Our Journey
In 2012 Jonathan started the company because he wanted to help people to fix up their homes.
He had been working for other large companies as an estimator doing home remodeling but there was a problem. What he found is that he could not promise details to a customer and be sure of the results. There seemed to be a disconnect between the sale and the production. Customers were not getting what they were promised!
Because of this, Jonathan decided to start his own company in order to have more control over the service provided.
